Review: Body Combat

Rushed to get a quick bite of mcNuggets for dinner before heading out of the office for the day with my gym grub. Was a bit jittery and nervous about attending my first class for Body Combat, I had no idea what to expect….but as it turned out, I LOVED IT! I was all arms and legs a-flinging at first , trying to keep up with the routine but I managed ok and the instructor was extremely helpful and funny and worked us so hard, I was sweating buckets by the end of the class.

Also bumped into a ex-classmate in the same class who was there for a trial visit,, talk bout coincidence!

I would recommend this class after an extremely stressful or tension filled day,it just allows you to let it all out and it really does feel like combat! Raaah! So go ahead.. Jab! Punch! Kick!

Word of advice: it is important to stretch well after a body combat class to avoid stiff joints or overexertion of muscles.

  1. Are the classes a mixture of things? ie. Body Combat, Yoga, Aerobics? Body Combat sounds intense, like training to be a Vampire Slayer…lol okay sorry, I digress. Not sure about the ‘eating chicken mcNuggets’ before classes though, it has to be a full body workout internal and external right?

  2. Got this from the Les Mills website, which is what my gym classes are based on.

BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, strike, punch, kick and karate your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.

Also,it is a PRETTY intense class,an hour of non-stop kicking, punching and jumping to a really fantastic soundtrack. You can make believe that you ARE training to be a vampire slayer Haha!

And yeah,i realised the chicky Mcnuggets are not too healthy, but I was rushing for time. *blush*
